Elements of Flavor is a series of carefully planned events that highlight culinary collaborations between Discovery Primea's culinary team and renowned local and international chefs and personalities. This series aims to open new doors for culinary innovation by bringing together unique culinary ideas, special techniques, and the passion for fine flavors to create new extraordinary experiences for patrons and diners to enjoy.
The series kicks off with a special dinner celebrating Discovery Primea's General Manager, Chef David Pardo de Ayala, and Executive Chef Luis Chikiamco's 20-year culinary partnership. With their shared roots, both are considered driving forces behind Discovery Hospitality’s culinary innovation. David was Discovery Hotel Corporation's Corporate Chef and oversaw the food and beverage operations at Discovery Suites Ortigas, Discovery Country Suites Tagaytay, and Discovery Shores Boracay. Luis, the former Executive Chef of Discovery Suites Ortigas, took charge of the kitchen and created various delectable dishes based on his extensive culinary background, training, and experience spanning more than a decade from various parts of the world.
David and Luis formed a stronger culinary partnership upon joining forces for the opening of Discovery Primea in 2015. Their shared love of good food and gastronomic innovation solidified their desire to create unique and memorable dining experiences for guests. Together, they launched the hotel's dining outlets, which have since become well-known in the local dining scene.
With a selection of delectable dishes delicately prepared by David, Luis, and Flame's culinary team, the menu has been specially curated to highlight Flame's distinct modern Asian flavors and flair.
